Justin Martinez, The OklahomanThu, February 5, 2026 at 1:42 AM UTC·1 min readThe Oklahoma City Thunder announced Wednesday that it acquired the draft rights to Balša Koprivica from the Utah Jazz in exchange for cash considerations.
Koprivica, 25, is a 7-foot-1 center from Serbia. He currently plays for the Basketball Super League’s Bahçeşehir Koleji in Turkey, where he’s averaging 5.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.8 minutes.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementKoprivica played collegiately at Florida State from 2019-21, averaging 6.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He was a second-round draft pick for the Detroit Pistons via Charlotte Hornets in 2021.
There are no immediate plans for Koprivica to join OKC, considering roster spots are limited. The Thunder still needs to free up a spot on its 15-man standard roster to finalize the deal it made Wednesday to acquire Philadelphia’s Jared McCain. It could also have up to three first-round picks in the upcoming NBA Draft.
